Go Cape! Cool Running results and more

In running, it doesn't matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say, 'I have finished.' There is a lot of satisfaction in that.

What a fine first meet - congratulations, runners!  And, what a great show of support from parents and teammates. If you'd like to see the results, check out this Cool Running link.  Note that there are tabs for each "heat,"  e.g. 1/2 mi, 3/4 mi and 1 mile races.

Registration is open, cross country begins Monday, Sep 13

Welcome, runners and parents!  Fall is in the air and is the best season for running across fields and trails. We hope you'll join us on Monday, September 13th at 4 pm at Fort Williams. The junior league is open to all kids, ages 6-12 (any grade or school).

We are pleased to have Suzanne Higgins lead our team as head coach, and are looking for parent volunteers to help out on Mondays and Fridays, as well as home meets.  We also hope to organize more carpooling to meets and trainings, to help minimize driving time, parking need and carbon emissions.

Registration can be done in person or their new, easy on-line registration site:

http://activenet17.active.com/cecommunityservices/

[Note: if you had trouble with registration on the first day, the glitches have been fixed. If you were put on a waiting list, call Leslie at 799-2868.]

We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday!
